Get Connected On Campus @ The Gathering

Whether it’s set up, take down, coffee shop, welcoming people, being a greeter, teach a class, hold baby, video, sound, web, music, play with toddlers, teach kids or teens, or prayer team, getting connected is the key to becoming apart of this movement @ The Gathering of helping people connect to God and others in a non-threatening environment. Each position is a key element of transforming the theater into a place of worship each weekend. Just because we meet in a theater doesn’t mean there isn’t a place for you to serve. Come join us each week to get on this team of helping people connect to God.

Set Up Team

Lights! Camera! Action! This team arrives at the theater at 6:00 am each Sunday to unload the equipment and set up the sound, camera, lighting, video for webcast, and stage to make the worship at The Gathering for the first transformation to take place.

Worship Music

The high energy worship band and leaders have a unique way of getting our Gathering audience in a participatory mode as they sing along as a congregation. The music team sets the worship tone and brings everyone together focusing on God as the service continues with the message.

Power Point

Keys in the words for the music and has it ready to project on screen to allow the church to sing during the worship time.

Drive Truck to Unload

Brings the truck from the parking station each Sunday morning and arrives at the theater by 6:45 am. Inside this truck awaits many road cases full of items that makes Kids Gathering, OurSpace, GearUp, Coffee Shop, Welcome Center happen each week.

Set Up Team @ 7:00 AM

This team sets up the inflatables in the lobby, the tables unloaded from the road cases off of the truck, the coffee shop, the welcome center, and sets up the signs through out the theater that transforms the theater into a place for kids, coffee shop, message on cd, welcome center, and even a personal welcome.

Parking Signs

You may think signs are not important, but with our parking signs the first time attendee or the person who has been there many times, can’t get lost as they follow the parking signs to their destination.

Greeter Team

Each weekend as you walk through the door the first impression anyone gets is from that smiling face, that welcoming handshake, that person extending just a little bit of loving care and attention to the person walking through the door for either the first time, the last time or even someone attending many times.

Coffee Shop

What better way to welcome a person attending The Gathering than by offering a cup of coffee or a donut. This team sets up the Coffee Shop Area in an attractive manner and serves others as they are prepared to continue to greet with a smile.

Message On CD

During each service the message is live on the web. The audio is put on podcast that day and then duplicated onto CD before we leave the theater. A team takes the message of the hour and duplicates it and has it ready to pick up FREE immediately after the service.

Welcome Center

The Welcome team is another way to meet and greet people as they come to The Gathering for the first time or even need information about the adult class we may offer, the location their child and/or teen may need to be at the hour and other information. They are a wealth of information about The Gathering and details going on for the day.

You may even purchase a t-shirt at the Welcome Center.

Kids Gathering

Kids Gathering Team is made up of caring and qualified individuals who are dedicated in creating a quality, fun and exciting program each week. We begin each Sunday with a team who sets up the fun, playful items to make the theater an age appropriate place for kids (birth – 4 th grade). If you love children we have many opportunities for you to get connected. Holding babies, teach a toddler, sign in for security, teach elementary, assist in a class, put up inflatables, work at Kids Cafe, or take down, even clean toys. These are just few of the many ways to serve.

Ourspace (5th – 7th Grades)

OurSpace is a clubhouse for 5th-7th graders to be silly, have fun, and learn about God. We play games, eat lots of candy, and study how to apply a true walk with Jesus into the crazy life of middle school. This group of students are no longer children, but they are not yet teenagers, so OurSpace is a place built specifically for Tweens to learn to make wise choices and experience Jesus in an age specific way.

Gearup (8th – 12th Grades)

How do you equip yourself for making a transition? The life of a high school student is full of growth and transition on the way to adulthood. GearUp is built to help Teens prepare for whatever life brings by talking plainly about real relationships with each other and Jesus Christ.

Prayer Team

The only requirement is that you have a heart for prayerful worship. We ask that you be willing to pray throughout the week for any and all of the following:

  • Individual prayer requests submitted by attendees of The Gathering
  • God’s guidance and leadership of the body of the church
  • The leadership team, both as a group and as individuals
  • Dave and Paula Foster

In addition, if you feel comfortable doing so, we also need individuals willing to pray with people who are hurting and need prayer and Christian fellowship at The Gathering. This is not mandatory to be on the prayer team, but we ask that you consider being willing to step outside your comfort zone and help other seekers in need.

Prayer Follow-Up

People who are willing to participate in prayer request follow-up by calling, sending cards, sending emails or even making hospital visits.
