Pumpkin Bread

Bake at 350 for 1 hour

  • 1 cup butter (softened)                                   1 can pumpkin
  • 3 cups sugar                                                        1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 eggs                                                                     1 1/2 tsp. cloves
  • 1 T baking powder                                            1 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 3 cups flour                                                         1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

In mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.  Add eggs and mix well.  Combine dry mixture and add to batter.  Stir in pumpkin. Pour into 2 greased loaf pans.  Bake at 350 for 1 hour.

 

Pumpkin Bread with chocolate chips

Bake at 350 for 1 hour

Makes 2 loaves

  • 3 cups of sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 2/3 cups
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 cups canned pumpkin
  • 3 1/3 all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Grease and flour 2 loaf pans.  Mix sugar and oil and then add water.  Add eggs and blend well.

Combine remaining ingredients slowly.  Stir in 1 cup cup chocolate chips.

Bake 1 hour or until golden brown.
