Our Kids’ Change 4 Change service chose Samaritan’s Purse Mosquito Nets as their incentive for Fall 2010. When our Kids heard that Malaria kills over a million people each year, most of them children under age 5, they decided they wanted to help. They learned that for every $10 they raised, they could provide a bed net treated with natural insecticide to kill mosquitoes and keep children and their families safe and healthy. Our Kids raised over $360 dollars in spare change which will provide 36 nets for families around the globe!
Change 4 Change is an on-going service project, facilitated by our Kids, to teach them service, empathy and how to show the love of Christ to others in our community and around the world. Our Kids choose an organization that benefits children and families and collects spare change to make a monetary contribution. Donations are collected each Sunday at the Change 4 Change table in the main lobby.
